Public Transit
Amtrak’s Vermonter stops in Brattleboro, just a few blocks from the dance. If coming from the south, the schedule works out well, with a 5pm arrival in Brattleboro allowing time for dinner before the dance and a departure at noon, allowing for breakfast and perhaps a nap.
To get to the dance from the train station, walk uphill to the traffic light and turn right on Main Street. Pass 3 more streets on the left and the dance is on your right in the Gibson-Akin Center. Visit the Accommodations page for info about hotels and other lodging options.
Carpooling
We encourage ride-sharing to and from the Dawn Dance. There is a Dawn Dance group on the Ridebuzz web site where you can post ride offers and requests. We also suggest posting within the Dawn Dance Facebook group, which sees a lot of activity immediately before an upcoming dance.
